The Chatham-Kent Wildcats Major Bantam Boys went 4-0 and won the championship at the London Gold Medal OBA tournament this weekend.

In the opening game the Wildcats beat Guelph Phoneix 62-38. The Chatham-Kent Wildcats were led by Ethan Jordan with 11 points. Noah King scored 10, Hunter Blommers 9, Bennett Schaffer 8, and Evan Torres added 7.

The Wildcats then beat Grimsby 68-56 to round out pool play. Russell Jacques scored 16 points, Ethan Guenther had 14, Evan Torres scored 9, and Bennett Schaffer added 4 in the win.

In semi final action, Chatham-Kent defeated Windsor Riverside 71-41. Russell Jacques and Evan Torres led a balanced attack with 9 points each. Bennett Schaffer added 8, while Ethan Guenther and Noah King scored 6.

Facing the host London Gold Medal team in the championship game, Chatham-Kent played a hard fought game to capture the Gold with a 40-35 victory. Noah King scored 11, Ethan Jordan, Russell Jacques, and Bennett Schaffer added 8 points each, and Evan Torres scored 4.
