In the past, school’s were able to offer Athletic Financial Awards, the OUA’s term for scholarships, of up to $4000. That number will be increased to $4500 next year for student-athletes entering an Ontario University with an average of at least 80%.
School’s are able to award this scholarship level annually to student athletes.
The OUA is the governing body of Ontario University sports across the province with 20 member schools.
Chatham-Kent currently has more than a dozen student athletes competing in OUA sanctioned sports.
Locally, the Windsor Lancers in Windsor, Ontario, and the Western Mustangs in London, Ontario, are members of the OUA.
