Zach Herreweyers Selected in MLL Draft

Wallaceburg product Zach Herreweyers was selected in the Major League Lacrosse Draft by the Chesapeake Bayhawks Friday.

Herreweyers was selected in the 6th round, 47th overall by Chesapeake.

MLL is a professional field lacrosse league in the United States.

Although Herreweyers also plays box lacrosse, he’s been most successful on the field, including with his current team, the Loyola University Greyhounds.

Zach Herreweyers, a Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse alumni, scored 47 goals in 15 games last season for Loyola, sitting 7th overall in NCAA Division I lacrosse with 3.13 goals per game.

He was also an All-Patriot League conference first-team honouree.
