Madison Broad and Genevieve Sasseville are competing with top caliber swimmers in Montreal this week.

The two Chatham ‘Y’ Pool Sharks will be shoulder to shoulder with world champion and Olympic quality swimmers at the Eastern National Swim Championships February 18-21.

Pool Sharks head coach Kyle Pinsonneault says both swimmers are expected to do very well at this senior caliber meet.

Genevieve just turned 13 years old last week and is competing in the 15 and under division. This is her first time qualifying. Broad, continually climbing the ladder to world competition, is expected to take her next step and bring more hardware home from Montreal.

Madison was recently selected to represent the Western Region and Swim Ontario at the upcoming Orlando Grand Prix in March. These swimmers will rub shoulders with World and Olympic Champions over the three-day meet. The third stop on the Arena Pro Swim Series takes athletes from all over the world to Florida. The Arena Pro Swim Series at Orlando takes place March 3 – 5 in Orlando at the YMCA Aquatic Center.

CKSN has also been made aware that Brendan Van Herk of the Blenheim Blast will also be attending this meet in Montreal.

CKSN.ca and 99.1 CKXS will be keeping everyone updated on results throughout the meet.
