The 17U Chatham Ballhawks Girls volleyball team travelled to Stratford on Saturday to compete in the Bugarski Cup, Trillium Division. This is the last tournament of the season before the All Ontario Provincial tournament in April.

The Ballhawks finished first in their pool winning won 25-18, 25-20 against BYVC 16U (Brant), and 25-15, 15-25, 15-7 versus the Stratford Stingers 17U.

The Ballhawks faced Twin Bridges 17U (Sarnia) in the first round of the play offs. They played tight defensive and pulled off a 25-12, 25-20 victory. Next, they faced the Forest City 16U Blue team. The Ballhawks pulled out their strong offensive and came out on top, 25-16, 25-18. In the Gold Medal match, the Ballhawks met up with a strong team, Stratford Stingers 16U. Stratford was a strong team with a quick offensive, which took a game for the Ballhawks to adjust their defense. In the end, the Stratford Stingers came out on top, 23-25, 25-19, 10-15
