Chiefs Battling In OMHA Playoffs
The South Kent Chiefs Juvenile team are battling in the opening round of their OMHA playoffs.
Facing Lincoln to open the OMHA playoffs, South Kent opened with a 6-1 win last week. Owen Welch led the way for the Chiefs scoring a goal, and adding two assists in the win.
The Chiefs then fell this weekend 6-3 to Lincoln.
Next weekend, the Chiefs will attempt to secure their spot in the OMHA final with a home and home against Mooretown, February 12 in Mooretown, and February 13 in Ridgetown.
Of the three remaining teams, the top team from the 4 game round robin will be guaranteed a berth in the OMHA final, while the 2nd and 3rd place team will play a series to determine the other finalist.
Earlier this year, the Chiefs took second at the annual Silverstick tournament in Mooretown.
