Dave Allin Classic Raises $17,000
The third annual Dave Allin Classic Tournament raised over $17,000 this past weekend for the ALS Society of Windsor-Essex.
Over 160 kids participated in the tournament, with Brampton’s Royal Orchard crowned the tournament champion.
Funds were raised through a silent auction and canteen sales.
The Allin Family would like to thank the community at large for all of their support, especially Union Gas, RBC Dominion Securities, Downtown Chatham Center, Ticketmaster, Dr. Frank Little, Goodlife and Adam Roberts (Major Donors), Blake Handsor and JMSS, along with the custodial staff as well and Lesley Grand for the Popcorn machine!
“It was another very successful weekend and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome,” said Conor Allin.
The tournament is in memory of long-time Chatham-Kent teacher and basketball coach Dave Allin. Allin passed away from ALS in 2013.
The tournament has raised more than $50,000 since its inception three years ago.
