Big day yesterday for High School Sr Girls Hockey as the Chatham Kent Golden Hawks shut out St Pats 9 – Nothing. Haley Smith and Sydney Sabourin each with 2 goals and 2 assists. Ridgetown dumped SCITS 4-1 Adrianna Long popped in 2 goals and added 2 helpers for Ridgetown.
The ‘AAA” semi finals get underway next week, the Golden Hawks will face either UCC or the Northern Vikings. Ridgetown will host Lambton Central in their ‘A-AA’ final.
The LKSSAA ‘A’ senior girls volleyball finals get underway today. four quarterfinal games will be played today, the semi finals will be on Wednesday and the finals will be next week on Friday.
The LKSSAA ‘A’ senior boys basketball playoffs got underway yesterday, the Blenheim Bobcats shutting down the North Lambton Eagles 60-25. The Ridgetown Royals edged out the Tilbury Titans 37-30, the Pain Court Patriotes dumped the Chatham Christian Flames 60-16 and the Lambton-Kent Cardinals lost to the Sarnia Collegiate Blue Bombers 66-23.
The semifinals get underway on Tuesday with the finals on Thursday, Feb. 18.
