Lakers Bring Back Coaching Staff

The Wallaceburg Lakers will be under familiar guidance next season as the organization decided this week to bring back coaches Derek Ellis and Ryan Paxton for next year.

The duo took over Wallaceburg’s bench after then head coach Marc Swayze, who had been hired by the organization prior to the 2015-2016 season, decided to step down in late December 2015.

The Lakers were 0-10 under Ellis and Paxton to close out the season, finishing with an overall record of 3-37-0.

Wallaceburg is able to return their entire roster, except for captain Alex Ritchie who was in his overage season.
