The Jr B Playoff action continued last night with 3 games. The Amherstburg Admirals took a 3 games to nothing lead in their series with the Wheatly Sharks, the Admirals with a 5-4 overtime win to take a strangle hold on the series. The Essex 73’s shut out the Alvinston Flyers 6 – nothing in a penalty filled game, both teams registered over 30 minutes in Penalties. The 73’s now have a 3 games to none lead in that series…The Lakeshore Canadians got past Mooretown 5-4, Lakeshore now leads the series 2 games to none, the series moves back to Mooretown tonight for game 3.
The Alvinston Flyers could have a new home next season. The Flyers could be relocated to Petrolia. The move has been approved by the 8 other teams in the league, it just has to be approved by the Ontario Hockey Association
Add another assist for TJ Brodie and a shorthanded goal for Markus Granlund, the Calgary Flames burn the Toronto Maple Leafes 4-3 last night in the NHL
The Wallaceburg Lakers Major Midgets shut out the Ingersoll Express Minors 3 – nothing last night and the PeeWee Reps scored a 4-2 win over the Mount Brydges Cougars. Only one game in the minor league hockey tonight that is the Tyke Red and White game
Andy Fantuz will remain a member of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Fantuz signed a 1 year deal yesterday on the first day of free agency in the CFL.
The Blenheim Bobcats captured first place in the LKSSAA Tier 2 senior boys basketball league yesterday. The Bobcats picked up a 61-16 win over the Lambton-Kent Cardinals. The A level playoffs start on Thursday.
