Main Event Changed For Maple City Cage Fighting 2

An injury to Hamilton’s Bradley Dimic has forced a change to the main event of Maple City Cage Fighting’s Amateur Fight Night 2 on February 27th.

Dimic, highly regarded, defeated Mase Ferguson in the semi-finals of the 155-pound title tournament at the promotion’s inaugural event, and now has  to step away from the finals and his first potential championship.

Thomas Armstrong, organizer for MCCF and Gracie Barra Chatham, has named a replacement for Dimic, to square off against Chatham’s Steve Eldridge for the 155-pound crown.

Craig Arnel will get the main event spotlight alongside Eldridge, both local competitors who train in Chatham dojos. Armstrong says he wanted to make sure the title fight was fair for both sides with an even match-up and experience.

“Both guys are built the same, they have the same style and the same record” said Armstrong.

Armstrong and company also announced their second event is officially sold out – again.

Maple City Cage Fighting is live from the Chatham Banquet and Conference Centre on February 27th.

Their next show has been announced for June 4th at the same location.
