Mooretown Wins Game 7

The Mooretown Flags managed four goals in the first period and built up a five 5-0 lead into the second to cruise to an easy 8-3 win over Lakeshore to win their Jr. C quarter final series in seven games.

Ben Morrison opened the scoring at 8:11 of the opening frame and Ryan Lyle, Jakob Reeves and Joe DeSena each had short handed goals for the Flags before the end of the first 20 minutes.

Lakeshore finally made it onto the board at 5:18 of the second thanks to Brendan Crundwell, who would add another for the Canadiens in the losing effort.

Brandon Johnson made 40 stops in the win.

Mooretown will face Essex in the semi finals.  The 73’s swept Alvinston in the first round.
