The Chatham-Kent Wildcats Major Bantam Boys upset the much higher ranked Milton #1 56-46 to capture the gold medal in Ancaster.

The Wildcats used an aggressive defense and balanced scoring to knock off Milton. Bennett Schaffer and Ethan Jordan each scored 9 points. Russell Jacques and Ethan Guenther scored 8 points each. Evan Torres, Hunter Blommers and Noah King chipped in with 6 points each.

The Wildcats went 3-0 to win there pool and advance to the final. In game 1, Chatham-Kent used a balanced attack to defeat Hamilton Blessed Sacrament 66-49. Bennet Schaffer led the scoring with 14 points, Noah King scored 13, Evan Torres had 11, Russell Jacques scored 11 and Ethan Guenther chipped in with 9.

In game 2 the Wildcats defeated Milton #2 53-43. Russell Jacques had 13 points, Schaffer 12, Ethan Jordan and Noah King each scored 10.

The Wilcats rounded out pool play with a thrilling 38-31 overtime win over Grimsby. Schaffer once again led the scoring with 12 points, King had 9, Jacques 7 and Jordan 5.
