Wallaceburg’s Iron Man, Joe Perry is in Boston, running in the Boston Marathon today. Perry has competed in the Marathon before. Last year he completed the 26 mile/42 km course in just under 3 hours and 20 minutes
Dresden’s TJ Brodie of the Calgary Flames has declined the invitation to play with Team Canada in Russia at the World Hockey Championships. Brodie along with other members of the Flames were offered positions with the team and they all declined. TJ is looking for some down time and time to recuperate after the NHL season.
Wallaceburg’s Jordon Durston picked up the hat trick on Saturday night as the Vancouver Stealth squeaked by the Calgary Roughnecks 13-12 in the National Lacrosse league
The Wallaceburg Red Devils opened up the 2016 season on a winning note. Cory Lucier putting up 7 points as they beat London 12-4. The Red Devils will have their home opener this Sunday at Memorial Arena. The Red Devils will be facing the Windsor Clippers.
