CKXS-Morning-Sports-Briefs The London Knights with a 5-1 win over the Erie Otters last night as the OHL Playoffs continue.

The Knights will try to advance to the OHL finals when they host the Otters for game 4.

The Barrie Colts looking to stay alive tonight as they face the Niagara Ice Dogs in game 4 of the series.

Ice Dogs with a 3 games to none lead in the series.

Bob McNear,  the head coach of the Blenheim Blades has stepped down, so he can coach his son’s minor league team.

McNear has lead the Blades to a number of semi finals and very successful seasons.  Management with the Blades organization having nothing but praise for McNear, he will be missed

In Sr Girls Soccer action from yesterday Northern with an 8-2 win over John McGregor, Chatham Kent shut out LCCVI 7 – Nil.  The WDSS Tartans downed  St Pat’s 5-1 and Tilbury and SCITS tied at 1 all.

On the Sr Boys pitch John McGregor and Northern ended up tied at 2 apiece while LCCVI doubled up Chatham Kent 2-1.

In Sr Girls Rugby Northern over Wallaceburg 10-5 and UCC shut out Blenheim 52 to Nothing
