Chatham’s Mackenzie Butzer helped her Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats Women’s Golf team capture the women’s team trophy at the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship this past weekend.

It is Butzer’s second straight NCAA title, and Bethune-Cookman’s fifth straight.

A sophomore, Mackenzie Butzer shot 73-78-72 = 223, tying for second amongst Bethune-Cookman players at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Overall, Butzer’s five player team, which also included Shamiso Hatchard, Saraid Ruiz, Yudika Rodriguez, and Alejandra Sanchez, demolished the competition finishing 30 strokes ahead of second place Chicago State.
