Chatham’s Josh Woodman has been drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos in the 2016 CFL Draft.

Woodman, 24, was selected in the 5th round, 44th overall in Tuesday’s CFL Draft, after completing his playing career with the Western University Mustangs.

A cornerback, Woodman is an alumni of the Chatham-Kent Cougars organization, and was one of two Cougars’ alumni drafted Tuesday, as Sarnia’s Randy Beardy, who played for the University of Windsor Lancers, heard his name called by the Ottawa RedBlacks.

An Ursuline College alumni, Woodman was twice named to the OUA all-star team, and was a second team All-Canadian in 2014.
