Lancers Sweep Vikings

The UCC Lancers senior and junior girls rugby teams defeated the Sarnia Northern Vikings in a pair of LKSSAA rugby games Tuesday.

The Senior Lancers won 29-0, getting tries from Shelby Heyink, Matthea Dieleman, Delaney Taylor Brooke Bechard, and Lauren Grant. Alyssa Broeders also had a pair of converts for the Lancers.

The Maids of the Match were Delaney Taylor for the UCC Lancers, and Taylor Boldt for Sarnia Northern.

The UCC Juniors also dominated their game, defeating Northern 58-5.

Selena Bushey led the way with three tries, while Britney Goodhand and Savannah Emmott each had a pair. Singles were scored by Marie Taylor Bertotti, Jenna Scott, and Gabby Glasier. Goodhand also added to the scoring with four converts.

Selena Bushey was named the Maid of the Match for UCC, while Olivia Berset earned the honour for Northern.
