The Chatham Maroons will have an all new coaching staff for the 2016-2017 GOJHL season after the entire Maroons coaching staff resigned this week.

Similar to the situation seen with the Junior C Wallaceburg Lakers a week ago, a conflict between the owners, Bill and Karen Szekesy, and the coaching staff prompted the move.

Resigning from the Maroons were head coach Tyler Roeszler, and assistants Jeff MacDougald and Bino Pereira.

Roeszler was named head coach of the Chatham Maroons in 2014 when then head coach, Mark Davis, resigned himself.

The Maroons ousted the St. Thomas Stars from the GOJHL playoffs this season before falling to the Leamington Flyers in round two. In the 2015-2016 regular season, Roeszler steered the Maroons to a 32-16-1-1 record.
