The Blenheim Blades have named Ken Shine as the new head coach for the 2016 – 2017 season. Shine has had experience behind the Wallaceburg Lakers bench as well coaching with the Dresden Jr Kings.
The London Knights are the J. Ross Robertson Cup OHL Champions. The Knights shutout the Niagara Ice Dogs last night 1 – 0 to claim the championship.
The Wallaceburg Red Devils dropped their 3rd game this time to the Point Edward Pacers 10 – 9 last night in Jr B lacrosse. Red Devils get geared up for 2 games on the weekend. The Red Devils will face Orangeville on Saturday and then on Sunday Wallaceburg will play Elora.
The Wallaceburg Novice Griffins will face Sarnia tonight, the Bantams and the Griffin Girls also in Sarnia for games this evening.
Sr Boys High School Baseball action from yesterday it was LCCVI doubling up St Pats 18-9, that game only went 5 innings. UCC will face LCCVI today.
Chatham’s Josh Woodman, the corner with the Western Mustangs will now change his Mustang blanked for an Edmonton Eskimos parka. Woodman was picked by the Eskies in the 5th round of the CFL draft last night. It was a bit of a shock to Woodman as Edmonton had not shown any interest in the corner prior to being drafted.
