May 26 Sports Brief

Lots of Wallaceburg Minor League Baseball last night.  The Dresden Tiger Rookies knocked off the Riverview Automotive Rookies 14 – 3, the Dresden Tiger Mosquito’s dumped the Progressive Ford Mosquito Warriors 11 – 5 and Chatham Jr Diamonds edged out Petrolia 8 – 7.

Evan Mathany had a hat trick but still the Wallaceburg Red Devils could not get the W as the Point Edward Pacers downed the Red Devils 11 – 9 in lacrosse action last night.  The Windsor Warlocks worked their magic on the Wallaceburg Intermediate Griffins as the Warlocks grabbed a 7 – 1 win.

Tupperville Women’s Soccer from last night Peppertree shutout LAC Tupperville 3 – Nil while Jackson Seed edged out Agris 3 – 2.

SWOSSAA  ‘AAA’ Sr Girls soccer, the Lakeshore St Anne Saints blanked the Chatham – Kent Golden Hawks 3 – Nil.  The Sr Boys ‘AA” final saw Riverside double up Wallaceburg 2 – 1

UCC downed St Pats 22 – 5 in Jr Girls rugby action that makes the Lancers the LKSSAA junior girls rugby champions.

12 man Jr Boys High School Football action tonight as the Chatham Kent Golden Hawks host the Wallaceburg Tartans at 7 pm.
