Wallaceburg Sting 1st After Hot Start

The Wallaceburg men’s Sting soccer team playing in the 1st division of the Western Ontario Soccer League have begun their season right where they left off last season as Cup Champions winning two and tying one.

They opened the season on the road with a 3-1 victory over St. Columban with goals supplied by Casey McGee, Roberto Attardi and Kyle Allaer.

Their home opener resulted in a 2-2 tie against Simcoe with McGee providing all the Sting scoring.

This past weekend on the road the Sting shut out Woodstock 2-0 with McGee and Brad Langstaff chipping in the goals and keeper Sam Youlton earning the shut-out.

Sitting in first place, the Sting are home to kick-off against Sarnia Thursday night (May 26) at 7 pm at Kinsmen Park.
