Graduating students Ashley Jackson, and Kelton Evans, both of JMSS were honoured Thursday night as the 2016 Dr. Jack Parry Award recipients.
Jackson, an exceptional basketball player, will attend Dalhousie University next season to play CIS basketball for the Dalhousie Tigers. She’ll attend the University on the Chancellor’s Scholarship, which covers her full tuition and fees for all four years, due to her academic success and extra-curricular activities.
At her own school awards, Jackson was named the top senior female athlete, and top female academic athlete.
Evans has excelled on the football field in his four years at John McGregor, and has starred in the community for the Chatham-Kent Cougars. Earlier this week, he was named JMSS’ top male academic athlete.
