June 1 Sports Brief

The Wallaceburg Red Devils will be hosting the Windsor Clippers tonight in Jr B lacrosse action tonight.  Game time is 8 pm.

Wallaceburg Minor Baseball from last night, the River League Mosquito Warriors had a close game but unfortunately they fell to Blenheim 11-10.

The Progressive Ford Mosquito Warriors were defeated by the Chatham Diamond Mosquitoes 7-5.

Josh Ashby and Evan Thibert of the Chatham-Kent Golden Hawks split two matches at the OFSAA tennis championship yesterday.

The pair beat Kingston then lost to London Central.  The 2 are back on the courts today.

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton will join the Canadian Women’s National Basketball team.  Bridget left yesterday with the National team for a 10 day tour playing in Spain and in France.
