Former Dresden Jr. Kings forward Kyle Dawson has taken the next step in his hockey career signing with the GOJHL’s London Nationals.

Dawson, a 1998 born forward from Florence, was one of four players the London Nationals announced as early signees this week.

Named the Great Lakes Junior C Rookie of the Year last season while playing with the Dresden Kings, Dawson had 21 goals and 39 points in 39 games last season before adding 6 points in 6 playoff games for Dresden.

The Lambton-Kent Composite School student, and Dr. Jack Parry Award nominee, Dawson is a multi-sport athlete who also plays Junior B lacrosse for the Wallaceburg Red Devils.

Following his season with the Dresden Kings last season, Dawson joined the Junior B St. Thomas Stars, playing 6 regular season games, and 4 playoff games for the Stars, collecting 5 points in 10 GOJHL games.

The London Nationals were the GOJHL champions, and advanced to the Sutherland Cup final in 2015-2016 before falling to the Caledonia Corvairs.
