Lakers Sign Brantford’s Kettlewell
The Wallaceburg Lakers have added another piece to the 2016-17 puzzle.
A mere 24 hours after announcing the BIG signing of 6’8″ Colton Coates of Belle River to the back-end, the Lakers have now dipped into the Brantford prospect pool, signing Brayden Kettlewell.
The Lakers brass says Kettlewell is a prototypical power forward, with a 6’2″ frame and 215 pounds. The 20-year-old Brantford native last played AAA for the Brantford 99er’s Midget Majors where he produced nearly a point per game.
Lakers GM Ritch Kanally expects Kettlewell to be a big force in the offensive zone.
The Lakers are re-tooling after missing the playoffs for five consecutive seasons, dating back to 2011.
The new Byrne Laus Hockey Corporation ownership group tells CKSN they are excited for further announcements throughout the summer.
