McEwan Invited To Pittsburgh Penguins Development Camp

Chatham’s James McEwan may not have heard his name called last week at the NHL Draft, but he didn’t have to wait long to get a call from an NHL team.

McEwan, who led the OHL’s Guelph Storm in scoring last season, has been invited to the Pittsburgh Penguins Prospect Development Camp this week, which he will attend from June 29 to July 2.

The camp, which takes place at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, Pennsylvania, will see 35 players, including 18 forwards on the ice for practices and scrimmages.

Last season, the 6’0″ centreman scored 25 goals and 52 points for Guelph in 68 games.
