Pool Sharks Annual Award Winners
The Chatham Pool Sharks gathered to celebrate their successful 2015-16 season and honour this year’s award recipients. At their annual AGM and awards banquet on May 29th, the Chatham Granite Club was filled with Pool Sharks honouring their own, recognizing record breakers, and celebrating together as many Sharks finish up the season.

Junior Sharks:
- Most dedicated- Katlyn Keating
- Most Improved- Noah Matteis
Regional Group:
- Most dedicated & Most Improved- Alex Thiel
Provincial Group:
- Most dedicated- Connor McFadden
- Most Improved- Genevieve Sasseville
National Group:
- Most dedicated & Most Improved- Madison Broad
Bell Canada Junior Swimmers of the year:
- Madeline Tran and Quinn Matteis
Robert Inns Senior Swimmers of the Year:
- Madison Broad and David Tran
Reg Johnson Award (goes to a first year swimmer who shows sportsmanship, dedication, and improvement):
- Eric Broeders
Club Record Breakers included:
- Madeline Tran, Genevieve Sasseville, and Madison Broad
Additionally, Carlyon Tran was recognized for her 12 years of dedication to the team. Carolyn was a very accomplished swimmer achieving national and eastern qualifying times, motivating team captain, and respected junior coach; she will be missed as she leaves the club for university in the fall.
Free Swim trials (try outs) for next season will be held in early September.
Trials are open to all swimmers age 6 and up who can swim one lap unassisted.
