Reports indicate the Pittsburgh Steelers have released Wallaceburg native Shaun Suisham.
Suisham missed the entire 2015-16 season with a torn ACL, suffered in training camp.
The Steelers have cut Suisham as the result of a failed physical due to a setback in recovery from his knee surgery, according to Pittsburgh general manager Kevin Colbert.
Colbert praised Shaun’s contributions in a team release.
“Shaun has played a significant role in our success during his time in Pittsburgh. He has been the consummate professional on the field and in our community. We wish he and his family all the best in the future.”
In his last season of full work, Suisham made good on29 of 32 field goal attempts and was a perfect 45 for 45 in PATs.
Steelers lose a golden chance. You know they could have had him coach their kickers.
