Woodman, who was a fifth round pick of the Grey Cup champion Eskimos this season, 44th overall, is one of only 8 rookies on Edmonton’s opening day roster.
The 6’1″ defensive back had an interception Saturday in Edmonton’s preseason finale against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The Western University Mustangs alumni was a CIS Second-Team All-Canadian in 2014.
Edmonton will host the Ottawa RedBlacks in a Grey Cup rematch Saturday. The game will air at 7pm on TSN.
