Cougars Drop Home Game

The Varisty Cougars drop to 0-6 as they lost 56-6 on Saturday against the Guelph Jr. Gryphons.

Greg Richards led the Cougars running game with 3 rushes for 44 yards, while Colin Van Dusen snagged 11 passes for 44 yards. Receiver Campbell Grinage scored the loan Cougar touchdown.

QB Clayton Shreve went 10-34 for 95 yards and a TD under centre.

Zach Lindley and Ricky O’Rourke both recorded 4 tackles, while Brandon Shanks, Zachary Kanecki, and Zach Lindley were able to pick off a pass.

The Cougars have been out-scored 44-242 this season.

The Cougars will prepare for their next matchup against the Brantford Bison, who currently sit ahead of the cougars in second last with a record of 2-3.
