Hall of Fame Day At Dresden Raceway

Dresden Raceway will be full of action for the second day this week as Sunday will be Hall of Fame Day at Dresden Raceway where Levi “Jiggs” McFadden will be enshrined into the Dresden Raceway Hall of Fame.

McFadden was a pioneer in the harness racing industry as he started driving at age 18 in 1933 and proceeded to dominate a sport and win the admiration and respect of fans and other horsemen. Jiggs was a top driver throughout Ontario, Michigan and New York State including winning the Canadian Pacing Derby in 1955 and 1956.

McFadden started driving long before records were kept but still notched 333 driving wins and 80 training wins.

Sunday will also feature BIA day at the track where several races will be sponsored by local businesses that will feature draws and giveaways.

On the track P J LUCKY LASS will be looking for her fourth win in a row at Dresden Raceway after being scratched sick last week. The four-year-old Camluck mare will score from post four in the fourth race.

Two other horses will be looking for their third win in a row as MAGNUM SEELSTER will have the rail in the fifth race while KELLY RAE will score from post six in the sixth race.

Post time is set for 1:30 p.m.
