Clachan’s Travis Konecny will attend Hockey Canada’s Nation Junior team’s summer development camp this week in Toronto.

Hockey Canada invited 41 players to the game, which runs from July 30 to August 2 in Toronto, Canada before moving to a series of exhibition games in Plymouth, Michigan from August 3 to August 6.

Konecny played for Canada at the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championships in Finland, where he had a goal and an assist in 5 games.

In the OHL last season with the Sarnia Sting and Ottawa 67s, Konecny totalled 30 goals and 101-points in 60 games.

The first round NHL draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers is eligible to return to the Sarnia Sting this season.

The 2017 World Junior Hockey Championships will be co-hosted by Montreal and Toronto from December 26 to January 5.
