Port Lambton Takes Down Courtright
Paul Bezaire collected three hits as the Port Lambton Pirates took home a 3-1 victory over Courtright in seven innings at Courtright on Tuesday.
Lefty Matt Liberty was locked in getting the win for the Port Lambton Pirates thanks to nine strikeouts. Matt Liberty went the complete game allowing one earned run, seven hits and one walk over seven innings.
The lead stayed with the Port Lambton Pirates after the first, when they scored two runs on a two-run single by Spencer Dalgety.
The Pirates go back home this weekend to welcome a very good London Tecumseh’s Jr team for a DH’er Saturday starting at 1pm. On Sunday the Wyoming Cattlebarron’s visit Vandamme park which could decide first place going into the playoffs in August.
