Kings Open Camp This Week
The Dresden Kings will host their annual main camp next week at the Lambton-Kent Memorial Arena in Dresden.
The Kings will skate September 1, 3, and 4.
In 2015-2016 the Dresden Jr. Kings finished 7th in the Great Lakes Junior C regular season with a 16-19-3-2 record.
The Kings were eliminated in the opening round of the Great Lakes playoffs by the Blenheim Blades in six games.
Last season the Kings were led by Thamesville’s Dillon Liberty who compiled 17 goals and 46 points in 37 games. The team’s leading goal scorer, Kyle Dawson, who had 21 goals, was named Great Lakes Junior C Rookie of the Year, and signed with the GOJHL’s London Nationals in the offseason.
In addition to Dawson, the Kings will also need to replace overage players Derek Daly, Taylor Sisson, and captain Derrick VanEvery, who graduated due to age.
