Chatham Outlaws Bantam A team wins Harvestfest – Contributed Photo

The Chatham Outlaws Bantam ‘A’ team opened their season with a tournament win, grabbing the title at the Oakville Hornets Harvestfest Bantam A Tournament.

In round robin play, Chatham defeated the Grand River Mustangs 5-0 in game 1. Game 2 saw the Outlaws lose a 5-4 overtime decision to host Oakville Hornets after overcoming a three goal deficit to tie the game. To complete the round robin, the Chatham Outlaws defeated North Halton Twisters 2-0.

In the quarter final, Chatham defeated Mississauga Chiefs 4-2. In semi-final action, the Outlaws beat the same Oakville Hornets team, which had handed them their only loss 3-0 to advance to the finals. In the final, Chatham blanked the Kitchener Rangers 2-0 to take the Harvestfest championship.
