McEwan At NHL Rookie Tournament With Pens
Chatham’s James McEwan will try to impress scouts this weekend when he hits the ice in London, Ontario with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
McEwan will participate in the annual NHL Rookie Tournament held at Budweiser Gardens, which will this year run from September 16-18.
This is McEwan’s second appearance in a Pens jersey after the forward, who plays for the OHL’s Guelph Storm, attended the Penguins’ development camp this summer.
Last season, McEwan led the Guelph Storm in goals and points, putting up a 25-goal, 52-point campaign in the OHL, but went undrafted in the NHL Draft.
McEwan will play three games with the Penguins versus Montreal Friday, Ottawa Saturday, and Toronto Sunday.
