The Blenheim Blades currently hold first place in the PJHL’s Stobbs Division, and they added to that lead Thursday night with a win in Petrolia.

Facing the Petrolia Flyers, Blenheim cruised to a 5-3 win on the road.

Brayden Hopkins and Bryce Broad both scored in the first period for Blenheim to put the Blades ahead early.

In the second frame, the teams traded goals, with Blenheim’s Dustin Maines scoring to set the score at 3-1 heading to the third.

The third period was a back and forth contest with Nick Delyzer scoring a pair of goals for the Blades to secure the 5-3 win.

Adam Craven made 23 saves in net for Blenheim.

Blenheim now has a 5-1-2 record, good for 12 points. They sit 3 points ahead of Essex.
