Konency Scores First Career NHL Goal

Clachan’s Travis Konecny scored a milestone goal Tuesday night, scoring his first career NHL goal in a 4-3 Philadelphia Flyers win.

Trailing the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 heading into the third period, Konecny scored on the powerplay 4:30 into the third period to kick off Philadelphia’s comeback.

The Flyers would score two more before requiring a shootout to win.

Konecny currently sits tied for third in NHL rookie scoring with 1 goal and 5 assists for 6 points.

He trails Toronto Maple Leafs forwards Austin Matthews and William Nylander.
