Maroons On A Roll – VIDEO Highlights
The Chatham Maroons are rolling, picking up their sixth consecutive victory, a 5-1 win over St. Thomas over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Adam Keyes got the Stars on the board early, opening the scoring at 6:25. What may have felt like an early advantage, ended up being the only marker on the night for the visitors.
Maroons captain Steven Beenackers scored twice, including a power play goal 1:48 into the second to tie the affair. Josh King scored the eventual game winner for Chatham. Kevin Gusroy and Josh Barraclough also scored for the Maroons.
Lucas Patton turned away 33 of 34 shots for Chatham.
The Maroons improved their record to 7-3, climbing to a tie for third place in the division standings, tied with London.
Chatham is on the road in Sarnia on Thursday. The Maroons are 4-1 on the road thus far.
