Chatham-Kent Hockey Players At Alliance All-Star Weekend

alliance-all-star-hockeySeveral Chatham-Kent hockey players will be competing at the Alliance ‘AAA’ All-Star Weekend at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex beginning Saturday.

From the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget roster, top OHL prospect Grayson Ladd will be amongst the local group attending the All-Star festivities. Ladd is considered one of the top prospects in the Alliance, and is expected to go in the first three rounds of this springs OHL draft, and is a potential first round pick.

Teammates Dylan Schives, Bryar Dittmer, and Cole McKinnon will also play in the game. MacKinnon leads the Cyclones in scoring this season with 10 goals and 4 assists in 17 games.

In the Major Midget game, Chatham’s Grant Spence, a draft pick of the OHL’s Oshawa Generals, who plays for the Windsor Jr. Spitfires, will compete. Through 21 games this season, Spence was in 17th in league scoring with 10 goals and 6 assists.

Major Bantam All-Stars include Craig Spence and Tate Bowden from the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
