Liberty Having Historic Season With Kings
Dresden Jr Kings captain Dillon Liberty is on the verge of history at the mid-way point of the season.
Liberty’s 44 points (22 goals and 22 assists) is just two points shy of last season’s career high 46 for the Thamesville native.
His 44 points through 19 games ranks in the Top 10 of Jr Kings full season scoring dating back to the 2007-08 campaign (and likely much further), which as far as Pointstreak currently allows us to dig.
In fact, no league wide scoring title has exceeded 74 points since 07-08. A second-half dip entirely possible, Liberty is currently on pace for 92 points if he suits up for all 40 regular season games.
The 21-year-old Liberty is averaging 2.3 points per game on the year and is certainly making his final run with the Kings an interesting one. And possibly very historic.
