Maroons Explode For Comeback Win
The Chatham Maroons fell behind 3-0 following the first period of Sunday’s game against the Lambton Shores Predators. It looked as though the team would drop their second game of the weekend.
But Chatham had other ideas, exploding offensively en route to an 8-6 win in front of 801 fans.
Bryce Yetman and Nolan VandenBoorn each had hat tricks in the comeback. VandenBoorn finished with 5-points, while Yetman had 4-points.
Austin Thompson also had a 4-point night scoring once, and adding 3 assists. Kevin Gursoy had one and one, while Alec Mackenzie added 3 assists.
Brendan Johnston made 25 saves in the win after replacing Lucas Patton following the first.
Chatham faces tough competition this week playing in LaSalle Wednesday, before hosting Leamington next Sunday.
