Carleton Scores Career High

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton had the biggest game of her NCAA career scoring a new career high 31-points Sunday.

Carleton went 11-for-20 from the floor helping her Iowa State Cyclones defeat the Northern Illinois Huskies 97-89.

“For me, once I hit my first couple shots I feel good usually throughout the whole game. I guess my teammates were finding me in the right spots in transition. I had some open threes, I usually like to knock those down, and definitely we had some mismatches so we could take them off the dribble and we took advantage of that pretty well,” Carleton explained in a news conference following the win.

Carleton added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in the win.

Iowa State teammate Seanna Johnson topped Carleton’s point total with 33-points in the game. It was the first time in school history two Iowa State players had scored 31 or more in a game.
