The Final Four Nominees, clockwise from top left – Ashley Jackson, Sydnee Baker, Savannah Emmott, and Payton Sabourin
We’ve reached the Final Four! After more than 2500 votes were cast last week, we’ve narrowed CKSN’s 2016 Chatham-Kent Female Athlete of the Year voting to four… and they are Sydnee Baker, Savannah Emmott, Ashley Jackson, and Payton Sabourin.
Voting re-opens today (Wednesday), and stays open until Christmas Eve. Once again, you can vote via the poll below, and can earn a second vote by commenting. As well, Facebook comments, and Twitter retweets on posts about each athlete count toward the total.
My vote goes to all of the incredible female athletes in Chatham-Kent who have excelled in their respective sports on the national and international stage. All of the ladies in the final four are great athletes, but it truly is a shame that some of Chatham-Kent’s most accomplished female athletes are not in the final round of voting.
All up to the voting. Each of these 4 athletes received more than 10% of the overall vote in round one. 14 athletes down to 4. So many excellent female athletes in Chatham-Kent, I wouldn’t call it a shame at all, it’s a wonderful accomplishment and showing of support for these 4 amazing athletes, nothing more, nothing less.
