Durston, Belanger Named To Stealth Roster

With another National Lacrosse League season only a few weeks away, two Wallaceburg lacrosse products have been named to the Vancouver Stealth opening day roster.

The Stealth named 20 players to their active roster, including Jordan Durston as one of 7 forwards, and Tye Belanger as one of 2 goalies.

The duo are both Wallaceburg lacrosse products, and NLL veterans.

After the tough decisions we made this past weekend I am confident we have a team that is capable of playing the fast-paced tempo we plan to play,” said Stealth head coach Jamie Batley.

“Obviously, we had some difficult decisions, as every team in our league has, but our staff did a tremendous job evaluating each player very thoroughly and this team has the tools to compete at the highest levels of our league,” added General Manager Doug Locker in a Vancouver Stealth news release.

Last season, Durston, who was the 19th overall pick by Vancouver in the 2015 NLL Draft, scored 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points in only 17 games for the Stealth as a rookie.

Belanger is a veteran of 75 NLL games, spending time with Colorado and New England since entering the league in 2012.
