Dane Fox Heats Up

Thamesville’s Dane Fox has been heating up in recent weeks for the ECHL’s Missouri Mavericks.

Monday night, Fox added 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) to his season totals, which top all Missouri skaters. His outburst helped the Mavericks defeat the Allen Americans in overtime.

In his third ECHL season, Fox leads the Mavericks with 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 36 games.

His totals are impressive considering the Missouri Mavericks sit near the bottom of the ECHL.

Fox is one of 3 local players currently competing in the ECHL. The other 2 include Blenheim’s Jamie Schaafsma of the Fort Wayne Komets, and Wes Cunningham of the Tulsa Oilers.
