Pool Sharks Take a Bite Out of GTA

Markham, ON – This past weekend, the Chatham Pool Sharks competed in their first long course meet of the season in Markham at the MAC Winter Invitational Meet. Long course season means swimmers compete in 50 metre (Olympic distance) pool; which is tougher for teams like the Sharks that practice in a 25m pool.

The Sharks made Chatham proud by bringing home: 13 medals,1 trophy, and 2 new nationals time cuts. David Tran achieved two new nationals time cuts this meet and Genevieve Sasseville won the trophy for the highest point earner in the girls 13 year old category.

The Chatham Pool Sharks is a Division 2 Club and currently has nationally ranked swimmers on the team, as well as many provincial and regional-level qualifiers.
