Chatham’s Pierce Johnson is enjoying a strong freshman campaign with the University of Windsor Lancers men’s volleyball team.

Johnson currently sits third on the Lancers in most statistical categories.

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School alumni is averaging 2.05 kills per set, and has 97.5 points this season, both stats trail sophomores John Moate and Brad Gyemi. Johnson is hitting from the left side.

He also has 13 blocks and 39 digs this year in 13 matches.

The Lancers as a team are struggling in the OUA West, sitting in last with a 2-11 record. The Lancers however, are a young roster with only 3 seniors on their 15 man roster.

UCC grad Chris Hoy also plays for the Lancers. He’s in his sophomore season with Windsor.
