Chatham Ties To Guelph Bronze Medal

Chatham’s Chris Bechard and Connor Szabo recently brought home some fancy hardware after the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) men’s volleyball championship.

The Chatham duo won bronze after a tight medal showdown with Ryerson University last weekend. Bechard, Szabo and the Guelph Gryphons took home the bronze after a 3-2 dramatic come-back victory over the Rams (25-20, 23-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13).

Guelph’s Kendrick Kerr led the Gryphons with 22.5 points. Zachery Newman and Joshua Green had 17 each.

McMaster won the gold medal match-up over Waterloo.
